Cyclone Sandra has formed in the Coral Sea. Upper level winds and sea surface temperatures are conducive for rapid development into a severe cyclone by Saturday or Sunday. Queensland needs to monitor the progress of Sandra. However, it looks as though Vanuatu and especially New Caledonia are at the highest risk of being directly impacted. he full brunt of Severe Cyclone Rusty will narrowly miss Port Hedland to the east. However, hazardous weather is likely to plague the area for at least the next 24 hours. Areas closer towards Pardoo will still have to unfortunately face the full wrath of the storm.

Severe Cyclone Rusty is less than 24 hours away from making landfall just east of Port Hedland. Destructive winds and storm surge are imminent across much of the northern coast of Western Australia.
