Chief of Staff and Strategy (JetBlue Travel Products) (FLIC) Position Summary The Chief of Staff and Strategy is a critical role for defining the next step in growth for JetBlue Travel Products (JTP). They report to the President of JTP and support initiatives driven by JTP’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT) by defining, prioritizing, documenting, tracking and reporting on each initiative. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who develops and leads JTP’s long-term growth strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The individual acts as the liaison between all teams within and outside JTP providing direction with a focus on collaboration for a desired outcome. In the capacity of Chief of Staff this individual prepares, produces and delivers communication using multiple mediums including but not limited to email, PowerPoint and Google Suite products. As a key member of the ELT this trusted advisor provides guidance in all areas of the business based on knowledge obtained through various cross functional meetings. Essential Responsibilities Evaluate financial viability and strategic fit of new potential business opportunities. Conduct market analysis and research to identify growth areas, competitiveness, and new opportunities. Collaborate with department heads (Marketing, Business Development, Technology, Finance, Operations, and People) to implement strategic plans across the organization. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite executives and business partners. Measure and monitor progress and impact of JTP’s cross-functional efforts, ensuring progress towards performance goals. Partners with JTP Manager, Corporate Communications to deliver key strategic messages both internally and externally utilizing written and other mediums on behalf of JTP ELT. Identify process improvement opportunities and provide collaborative recommendations. Compile monthly business reports for JTP Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to deliver to JetBlue President, CEO and other relevant executives. Manage weekly JTP ELT meetings (set agenda, follow up on deliverables, etc.) Support all JTP ELT members creating communication materials for select meetings. This includes various mediums of communication. Support JTP ELT in weekly, quarterly and annual planning process to ensure all teams are aligned. Support JTP President in allocating staff / resources to key initiatives and adjust as needed. Coordinate the preparation of written documents and presentations for review by the team and prepare Board of Directors (BOD) materials, when applicable. Report status and address project questions with the team and ELT and provide up-to-date information to ensure all status reports are current and correct for all stakeholders to review. Provide support to People team on various culture initiatives. Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement. Partner with President of JTP on ad-hoc projects as required. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience. Three (3) years of analytical experience, ideally within a commercial setting, focusing on data-driven decision-making and business strategy optimization. Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite products. Knowledge of budget processes and ability to coordinate and analyze senior leadership projects. Ability to rapidly resolve issues and recognize when escalation is necessary. Strong vendor management, negotiation and resolution skills. Excellent problem solving and structured thinking skills. Flexibility, agility and change management skills. Ability to tailor communication style to different audiences, and to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (senior management, stakeholders, team members, etc.). Available for overnight travel (10%). Must pass a ten (10) year background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located. Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Crewmember Expectations Regular attendance and punctuality. Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice. Able to maintain a professional appearance. When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
